Now that I have my computer back, I’ve been working hard to catch up on emails, posts etc. There have been so many events in our life here of late that I thought I would share some of it. On March 6th, our daughter Vicki, #5 in the lineup, gave birth to our newest grandchild, Sofia Juliette . Her mom and dad, Oscar were frantic when Sofia came early and scared us all but our little babe after weighing in at just over 4 lbs is now 8 weeks old and weighing in at over 8 lbs. She is a beautiful, bright and shining star. About a week after Sofia was born our oldest daughter Tracy wound up suffering from Hypothermia and sever frostbite to her feet when she got stranded out near her cottage overnight in -30 temps in snow too deep to move in. A series of circumstances made it difficult to get to her until the following morning when she was rescued. All in all, she survived, suffering some nerve damage to her feet but managed to keep all her toes and feet so we are all very thankful for all these miracles in our life. She and her fiance Jeff are getting married in August. On St. Patrick’s Day, our granddaughter Ashley gave birth to a little girl, Isabella Edith who weighed over 6 lbs. – bad grandma (I don’t know their exact weights). Ashley and Shaun are over the moon with their sweet little girl. And then, yah it’s not over, our grandson Aaron and his partner Amy welcomed their little daughter, Zaffari Rose into the world on May 3rd, also just over 6 lbs. A beautiful baby girl and she looks just like her mom. I think that other than my computer crashing, (new video card, new logic board and new heat sensor), life is now calmer. There is so much to be thankful for and Chris and I are so thankful for and proud of all of our 8 kids, 8 grandkids and 2 great grandkids. Life is good!
In every conceivable manner, the family is the link to our past, bridge to our future.
