The center of this flower as I mentioned previous is quite challenging but I’m finding that it is also very hard on the eyes.  I can only work at it for a few minutes and then take a break as I keep losing my place.  It’s like trying to paint an optical illusion.  Anyway, slowly I’m making progress and starting some of the detail in the petals.  I’m using most of the FC cool grays as well as Prisma Periwinkle, greyed lavender, slate gray and cloud blue for the shadow work in the petals.  For the center, I’m using Dark Sepia, green gold, Light Chrome yellow, dark naples ochre, light yellow ochre, burnt ochre, terracotta and indian red.
